But every time your work permit comes up for renewal, you feel it. That quiet uncertainty. The reminder that as much as this province feels like yours, your right to stay here is still conditional. Still temporary.

The Alberta Opportunity Stream exists to change that. The question is not whether you deserve to stay. The question is whether your application is built well enough to make it happen.

✅ Valid work permit (LMIA-based, LMIA-exempt under an approved category, or PGWP from Alberta publicly funded institution)

✅ Currently living and working full-time in Alberta

✅ Full-time job offer from an Alberta employer

✅ Minimum language scores (CLB 4–7 depending on your NOC TEER category)

✅ Qualifying work experience in your current occupation


✅ Education credential (ECA required if earned outside Canada)
